Sinai Cancer Center Lobby

At the Mandy & Dennis Weinman Cancer Building at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, Garden on the Wall^® created a series of vertically integrated biophilic installations along the central stair and circulation zone. Composed of preserved lichen and moss, the gardens introduce organic movement, texture, and natural color against the surrounding stone, glass, and neutral finishes. Extending across multiple levels, the installations visually connect the space while complementing the sculptural suspended lighting at the center of the lobby. The gardens help soften the clinical environment and create a calmer, more welcoming setting for patients, families, and staff during what can be an emotionally demanding visit.
