Hangzhou Q-BAY Center

GOTW_HangzhouGarden on the Wall® was proud to contribute to the architect’s vision of bringing the outside in at the Q Bay Center bio-tech facility in San Jose, California. Q Bay Center focuses on hi-tech industries such as Biology and Health, with an emphasis on incubating early-stage start-ups in these industries – certainly a worthy mission. Several unique and compelling installations comprise this project, including a garden wall anchored by a large flatscreen TV; two floor-to-ceiling gardens in a breakroom with inspiring logo integration; and four parallel linear mini-gardens adding an exciting element to a divider wall in the cafeteria. GOTW’s installations at Q Bay Center feature moss and forest species, a mix which persists in all the installations at the biotech facility, providing recognizable biophilic continuity.

GOTW’s expertise in logo integration shines through in the breakroom installations. The panels are designed with a diversity of preserved plant species artfully placed over a micro-mossed Flat Moss canvas, while the exciting moss logo integration emphasizes Q Bay’s branding platform, which aims to connect and support innovation and entrepreneurship. GOTW’s Maintenance-free installations offer innovations in biophilia that allow customization to fit the architect’s vision of the space, and at the same time, accomplish the much-needed task of refreshing and inspiring employees pursuing progress in medical services!
